Viral Academy is a 12 week step-by-step program that teaches students how to start and grow a profitable YouTube channel.

My roles in marketing:
Copywriter: I wrote copy for full funnels, including:
Opt-in pages. I wrote a dozen different opt-in pages testing variables like: different copy, targeting different niches, different lead magnets, different overall design. Thematically, the goal is to inspire the reader to make the first steps towards turning their hobbies into a profitable YouTube channel, by following the steps outlined in our free content (and eventually, the paid content).
Sales pages. I wrote several long form sales pages - the main marketing force here were the video sales letters (please watch one below!) with supporting copy to handle remaining objections.
Email sequences. I’ve created and tested different launch & followup sequences for this course. Some fun topics within the funnel are: there is no hobby too weird or random for YouTube, one of the most valuable resources in life is a good mentor, and virality actually has a repeatable science to it (it isn’t all luck).
Lead magnet video scripts and video sales letter scripts. This video content is truly the bread and butter of these funnels. Each video, no matter where it is in the funnel, is meant to teach the viewer an invaluable skill, whether it’s specific actionable steps towards starting their YouTube, or an emotional love and acceptance for who they are.
Designer/manager: Initially, I designed the funnel pages myself using Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, then handed them off to the engineering team to implement. After the company scaled, I hired and managed a designer to make dozens of different variations specific to different niches like travel aficionados, gamers, fashion vloggers, etc . During times when we wanted to test something quickly and the engineering team had a full plate, I built pages out rolling launches using ClickFunnels and Deadline Funnels, and used Maropost to test new campaigns.
Launch manager: I created and enforced a product launch timeline for our engineering, production, marketing, and operations team.
